For the 2023 model year, Acura resurrected the Integra moniker with a more opulent and pricey Civic Si. That development raised the question of when Acura will produce the high-performance Integra Type S, which will be based on the brand-new Civic Type R.
So now we are aware. The reply is “very soon”
Acura just announced the arrival of the Integra Type S. Here is all we currently know about it.
This 2024 Integra Type S is set to go on sale in 2024. According to current plans, it will arrive at dealerships sometime in the summer of 2023.
Yes. The upcoming 2024 Acura Integra Type S was driven by the editors of Jalopnik when they were in Japan, and they stated that an adjustable suspension will be standard on the vehicle. In comparison to the modern Civic Type R, the Integra Type S felt “supple” on the track, and its driving felt heavy but had “excellent input,” as according to their driving impressions.
Acura has stated that, like the Civic Type R, the Integra Type S would be powered by a “high-revving turbocharger 2.0-liter VTEC” engine with more than 300 horsepower. Likewise, the Integra can only be available with a six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the Integra will include a limited-slip differential.
Honda settled with front-wheel drive again for Civic Type R. Keeping that configuration for the Integra Type S will be the easiest course of action for Acura. However, Acura omitted such information from the news release.
It hasn’t been verified yet. The Honda Civic Type R, however, costs $42,895. Therefore, we can state with confidence also that Integra Type S is going to be expensive.
