As far as design is concerned, the EX30 has all the typical elements of a Volvo car. The front design is quite minimalistic, with a closed grille and Volvo logo. The LED headlights have the signature Thor hammer shape, while at the rear, the taillights are given around the tailgate as well as parts of the C-pillar.
The smallest Volvo electric SUV EX30 is 4.23 meters long, which is about 20 cm shorter than the XC40 Recharge. Despite this, the EX30 offers good interior space due to its relatively long wheelbase.

The Volvo EX30 will be offered with two options of battery packs. The basic version is a single motor that can generate a power of 272 HP. It is equipped with a 51-kWh battery, which helps the electric SUV to give a range of 344 kilometers on a single full charge. The battery is made of lithium-ferro phosphate (LFP), which does not use cobalt and is more economical than typical EV batteries.
The Volvo EX30 electric SUV will support a charging capacity of 134 kW. The larger battery version supports up to 153 kW fast charging, allowing the battery to be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in about 25 minutes.
