Overview

The word “Ronin” means masterless samurai: a free swordsman for hire who roams the land, ready to fight any enemy who puts himself in a fighting stance. So it might be an appropriate name for the new 2026 Fisker Ronin, which was born to challenge the upcoming legions of sporty electric cars. Shortly after Fisker founder and design director Henrik Fisker released a trailer, the 2026 Fisker Ronin EV was fully unveiled at an auto show event in California, USA.

What’s New for 2026 Fisker Ronin EV?

Fisker said that the goal of the 2026 Fisker Ronin model is to bring excellent practicality to the high-end market, and many well-known high-performance car manufacturers have already launched SUV models. The model is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 2 seconds and have a top speed of about 170 mph (275 km/h). The Rōnin will rival or exceed any supercar currently on the market, while still delivering outstanding range.

Fisker said they started taking pre-orders for the Rōnin on August 3. Early customers can pay a $2,000 deposit for first-round reservations and a fully refundable $1,000 for second-round reservations. The car 2026 Fisker Rōnin is priced at $385,000 and is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2025. Fisker only plans to produce 999 units of the model.

This sports car has a distinctive design style compared to other Fisker models. First, it has a long hood and a prominent rear deck. Its shape is reminiscent of designer Henrik’s early Tramonto and Karma projects.

The cabin’s dashboard indicates the brand’s new design language in the future: a unified light bar with split-stripe LED trim will become a hallmark of Fisker style. The interior layout of the Ronin is a double-row 5-seater, with a reverse-opening rear door similar to the Mazda RX-8, allowing easy entry. The top of the car is a carbon fiber retractable hardtop. According to Fisker, the car is the world’s first four-door, five-seat hardtop convertible.

Fisker says the 2026 Fisker Rōnin will offer seating for five under its convertible roof, but based on the size of the rear doors, we’re assuming the rear doors won’t have much room to be comfortable on long drives. The design prioritizes eco-friendly materials, with a focus on sustainability.

The dashboard boasts a large 17.1-inch infotainment display, reminiscent of those featured in the Ocean and Pears SUVs.

2026 Fisker Ronin EV Motor, Power, and Performance

The 2026 Fisker Rōnin is equipped with a three-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain that is said to produce 1,000 horsepower and can propel the car from 0 to 60 mph (approximately 96.6 km/h) in two seconds. However, ultra-fast electric cars are nothing new these days–range is the key to the electric GT’s ability to realize its travel dreams. However, unlike traditional electric cars that install battery packs under the floor, Fisker chose to integrate additional batteries into the entire body structure to increase the range target to 600 miles (approximately 965.6 kilometers).

2026 Fisker Ronin EV Range, Charging, and Battery Life

The electric supercar will be based on a unique aluminum spaceframe chassis with integrated batteries. Battery capacity has not been revealed, but the target range is 600 miles (966 kilometers). Fisker didn’t go into detail about the electric powertrain, but promised a combined output of more than 1,000 hp (745 kW / 1,014 PS), allowing acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 km/h) in “approximately 2 seconds” and a top Speed 170 mph (275 km/h). The company said that “the focus will be on driving pleasure rather than self-driving technology,” although the latter “will be available on demand.”

Disclaimer

Henrik Fisker, chairman and CEO of the company, said: “The 2026 Fisker Rōnin is designed for people who love to drive, but who are also fascinated by automotive art and design and demand that their high-performance cars embrace the pursuit of environmental protection and sustainable travel.” He added: “The goal was to create a classic big GT electric car for people who want to drive from Los Angeles to Napa Valley on a single charge, or hit the highway at steady high speeds without worrying about the battery. Provide services to customers who have sustained battery life.”
