The 2025 Ram 1500 REV didn’t include details on technical specifications when it debuted in February 2023. Now, Ram has officially announced the information, with the highlight being its maximum driving range of 500 miles.

Ram confirms the 2025 Ram 1500 REV’s powerplant produces 654 hp and 620 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to propel the vehicle to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. In addition, the vehicle can tow 14,000 pounds, carry a payload of up to 2,700 pounds, and ford water up to 24 inches deep.

2025 brings the debut of the all-new 2025 Ram 1500 REV EV, marking a significant milestone as the first Ram Pickup truck solely powered by electricity.

In terms of pricing, anticipate the 2025 Ram 1500 REV to commence around $58,000, with potential to reach $85,000 based on chosen trim levels and optional features.

2025 Ram 1500 REV EV Motor, Power, and Performance

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV is equipped with two 250kW electric drive modules, one for each axle. This module combines the motor, gearbox and frequency converter into a three-in-one power unit.

The one at the front axle can disconnect power, allowing the wheels to spin freely, improving efficiency in some situations, while the rear axle’s three-in-one unit also includes an electronically locking rear differential.

2025 Ram 1500 REV EV Range, Charging, and Battery Life

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV is available with two battery units. The standard version has a capacity of 168kWh and an estimated range of up to 350 miles, with an optional 229kWh battery pack increasing range to 500 miles.

2025 Ram 1500 REV’s electric platform architecture provides up to 350kW charging power for electric pickup trucks, with charging specifications reaching 800 V DC. Fast charging can replenish energy for 110 miles of driving in just 10 minutes. Moreover, the system supports car-to-car, car-to-home and car-to-network two-way charging. The on-board power connection function can provide up to 7.2kW of power, and the available power plug can provide 3.6kW of power. And both can be used at the same time.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Ram has chosen an active air suspension for the pickup, with adaptive dampers and a multi-link independent rear suspension. The driver can choose from five suspension modes: entry/exit, ascent, normal, off-road 1 and off-road 2. Ram currently doesn’t explain the differences between the different models. The wheels are 22 inches in diameter and matched with 275/50 Pirelli Scorpion all-season tires.

Its interior looks great, is extremely functional, and comes with a host of luxury options, now including the new Tungsten. It’s an absolutely stunning vehicle, but it starts at nearly $90,000. In 2025, more screens are coming to cabins, and they’re all working well.

New hands-free driving assistance features are available for easier long-distance journeys. There’s even a new onboard power inverter similar to the Ford F-150 that lets you plug stuff into the cargo bed, though it lags behind the Ford in overall power.

While rivals have been closing in on Ram in overall comfort and refinement over the past few years, Ram has once again extended its lead in these areas with the 2025 refresh. We’re sad to see the supercharged TRX off-road monster become extinct, but there will be a replacement called the RHO that should rival Ford’s Raptor and Chevrolet’s ZR2. As usual, the pickup market is fiercely competitive, and the Ram’s strengths remain largely the same as in the past, making it still our favorite full-size truck.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Inside the cabin, the Ram REV features a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch passenger display, and a 12.0-inch standard information screen below the touchscreen. Other new additions include a digital rearview mirror and a 10.0-inch head-up display, while a regeneration button on the console allows the driver to select normal or one-pedal operating modes.

The Ram 1500 REV is available in five model specifications: Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Laramie, and Limited. Features of different specifications include a 23-speaker Klipsch stereo, power tailgate, indigo/sea salt interior, suede roof, and cabin metal Trims, etc., various driver assistance systems are divided into different function packages as options.
